Somewhere in Time

It All Began about a year and a half ago when our family visited a 4th of July Farmers Market in Flagstaff, AZ. As we walked through the quaint little park that I knew so well as a child, my daughters and I came upon a little stand with the cutest most original handmade wall clocks I'd seen in a long time. Unfortunatley, the one I wanted had just sold leaving me a little disappointed. We left empty handed but for the next few weeks I couldn't get the idea of turning an antique doorplate/knob into a clock out of my head. Something about having a piece of history mixed with keeping time in my home left me with a feeling of nostalgia combined with the idea that maybe Jane Seymore and Christopher Reeve in "Somewhere in Time" just might not have been so far fetched.... and off their rocker;) My kids think Im dorky and find it hilarious, but GOSH I loved that movie as a kid (definitely showing my age here). Seriously tho, anything old mixed with time tracking has become an obsession! Thanks to that little old lady at the Flagstaff Farmers Market that beautiful 4th of July day, I now hand make these cuties myself and have my very own hanging in my own home and available to all of you!
